The story of my camera and brushes

I write, erase, rewrite

Erase again, and then

A poppy blooms

- by Katsushika Hokusai

I once read this beautiful Haiku.

The common interpretation is that the poet compares a written poem to a blooming poppy, by using imagery of the spring season to describe his writing process.

How beautiful!

I photographed my set of Korean brushes and my Rolleiflex, with my new film camera, an old Wista, with a sense of documenting a few artifacts so present in my every day life. Acknowledging and accepting change, facing evolvement and continuing to produce through experimentation. Writing, erasing, rewriting and erasing again. Sometimes blooming, and starting all over again.

Perhaps as well do in our daily lives…

So, here it is- the story of my camera and brushes.
